TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL
Traffic control technicians, in partnership with the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), designed this two-day course. The course is delivered by traffic control experts selected by industry representatives in conjunction with the NSA. The target audience for this course is those involved in developing, assisting in setting up, and/or monitoring the implementation of temporary traffic control plans.
Course Objectives:
To provide information to participants regarding temporary traffic control practices
To assist in skill development for those who are responsible for developing and maintaining temporary traffic control strategies for road construction
To assist in understanding the theoretical portion of worker competency in implementing a temporary traffic control plan
To create a safer work zone
To establish consistent temporary traffic control standards throughout the NWT/NU
