NNCA | NORTHERN CONSTRUCTION SAFETY HUB

The Northwest Territories and Nunavut Construction Association (NNCA) is a non-profit industry association representing companies involved in northern construction, including contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and related businesses. NNCA supports the construction industry across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut through advocacy, industry resources, workforce development, training, networking, and information on tenders and contracting opportunities.

Through the Northern Safety Association, NNCA members and construction workers can access trusted safety training, regulatory information, practical resources, and tools designed to support safer worksites across the territory.

WHY COR® MATTERS IN CONSTRUCTION

The Certificate of Recognition (COR®) is a nationally recognized program that demonstrates a company has developed and implemented an effective health and safety management system.

For construction workers in Northern Canada, COR® matters because it helps create safer, more consistent worksites where hazards are identified, responsibilities are clear, and safety procedures are built into everyday work.

Working for a COR®-certified company also shows that safety is being actively managed, reviewed, and improved—not treated as an afterthought.
